Owl-shaped perfume bottle Hukin & Heath

– Glass bottle in the shape of an owl. Charming bottle or small inkwell made of ruby red glass topped with a finely chased solid silver cap in the shape of an owl's head, with the details of the plumage particularly well rendered. The mount bears the official British hallmarks certifying sterling silver (.925): • Lion passant: sterling silver, • Anchor: Birmingham assay office, • Letter T: year 1918, • Maker's mark: H. M & Co = Hukin & Heath, renowned silversmiths for their fanciful creations blending silver and glass. This type of object was often used as a bottle for scented salts, a desk inkwell, or a decorative travel bottle during the late Edwardian period. An English collectible piece, representative of the refined and humorous taste in silver accessories of the early 20th century.

Opalescent glass bonbonnière by Edmond Etling

Art Deco bonbonnière with raspberries circa 1930. Created under the guidance of the art dealer and publisher Edmond Etling. It is made of opalescent molded-pressed glass. Relief decorations of branches and raspberries with an elegant frieze around the edge. Very beautiful bluish opalescence allowing light diffusion and enhancing the decor through its perspective. Signature in block letters on the bottom ETLING - FRANCE and numbering 110 related to this model.
